Illness

No person may enter Chantel Funk + Co. if experiencing illness. Anyone with symptoms such as a sore throat, fever, sneezing, or coughing must reschedule or wait until their symptoms are completely resolved.

Hand Hygiene

The most important thing you can do to prevent infection and protect loved ones is to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Using soap and water is the single most effective way of reducing the spread of infection. Do not touch your face, eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands. Wash your hands after any touching of your face.

If you have to cough or sneeze, make sure you sneeze or cough into a tissue or the crook of your arm (elbow) and then wash your hands.

All staff will wash their hands between any contact with guests and after touching their face, eating lunch or using the washroom.

Cleaning the Shop

• All tools, equipment, and stations must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between guests following the Barbicide and bleach protocols posted in the color room.

• Washroom, common tables, desks, light switches, and door handles must be disinfected

Contactless payment will now be accepted through credit card on file for those that prefer.

Virtual Consultations

We are offering virtual consultations to our guests as an option. When booking a client, please confirm if they would like a consultation over video call or to the shop.

Staff may need to reschedule if for any reason their is suspicion of illness.

Walk In Clients

We are no longer accepting walk-in clients. If someone is wanting to book an appointment, they will need to either call or message the salon. 

 

Shop Policies

Booking and Cancelling Appointments
It is preferred that appointments be pre-booked in order to maintain the recommended cut, color or treatment, and to ensure that the stylist can accommodate your schedule. The stylists at Chantel Funk + Co. are often booked ahead of time and cannot guarantee last minute appointments. We require a non-refundable deposit of $100 for all new clients undergoing any colouring treatment. This deposit will be applied to the final cost of the booked appointment.

Credit Card Policy: We will require a current credit card to be added to your file upon booking your appointment. If you do not have a credit card or prefer not to add your credit card to your file, you must provide a non-refundable $100 deposit, which will be applied to the final cost of the booked appointment and will not be refunded on cancellation.
Cancellation Policy: 48 hours notice is required in order to cancel or reschedule any appointment. If you are unable to give 48 hours notice, you will forfeit your deposit and it will not be refunded; the deposit will be applied to the cost of the missed appointment. Failure to give 48 hours notice will mean that another deposit will be required before booking any future appointments.

In the event of your failure to attend your scheduled appointment or should you cancel or reschedule without giving 48 hours notice, the credit card on file will be charged a cancellation fee (the “Cancellation Fee”), being $100 for any colour appointment and $40 for any cut appointment. In the event your scheduled appointment requires a deposit to be put on file, the aforementioned cancellation fee will first be deducted from any deposit we have on file and any balance owing will be charged to your credit card.

Late Policy: In the event you arrive to your appointment late by 15 minutes or longer and we can still accommodate your appointment, we reserve the right to charge a late fee of $25. If you arrive to your appointment late by 15 minutes or longer and we can no longer accommodate your appointment, the Cancellation Policy will apply and the credit card on file will be charged the Cancellation Fee.

Illnesses, Including COVID-19
We take the health and safety of our staff and clients seriously and are taking steps in order to reduce risk of exposure to anyone who may be sick. In light of this, if you have any cold or flu-like symptoms, please contact us to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If we become aware that any of the foregoing is applicable and you have failed to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we will reserve the right to cancel your appointment and you will be subject to the Cancellation Fee.
Chantel Funk + Co. abides by the Fraser Health Authority guidelines to prevent health hazards and reduce the risk of transmitting communicable diseases or infections. If you would like a staff member to wear a mask, please ask we will accommodate your request.

In the event that Chantel Funk + Co. is required to cease or limit operations due to a government mandated shut down or an occurrence of COVID-19 at its location leading to a full or partial shut down, Chantel Funk + Co. will reserve the right to cancel any appointment and will use reasonable efforts to reschedule appointments once its facilities are cleared to reopen.

Subscriptions
If you have agreed to partake in our subscription service via our Mindbody Software, we confirm that payments for the subscription will be charged on the 1st of every month. In the even that you wish to cancel or change the terms of your subscription service, one month’s notice shall be required. We confirm that there shall be no refund on any payments made under the subscription program and payments do not offer a credit on your account.
