Our Story

In 2012, Chantel Funk opened the doors with a simple belief: there had to be a better way to experience the salon industry. The vision wasn’t to create just another hair salon. It was to build a place where both guests and artists could thrive. A place where creativity, wellbeing, education, and genuine connection mattered just as much as beautiful hair.

From the beginning, our culture has always come first. We believe that when artists feel supported, inspired, and empowered to grow, that care naturally extends to every guest who sits in their chair. Collaboration has always been at the heart of what we do, creating an environment where ideas are shared freely, learning never stops, and every member of our team is encouraged to become the best version of themselves.

As our studio grew, so did our understanding of the work we were truly doing. We realized we weren’t simply changing hair—we were helping people reconnect with themselves. A great haircut or colour can absolutely transform someone’s appearance, but what stays with them is how they feel. Confidence. Ease. A little lighter. A little more themselves.

That realization shaped everything that followed.

We became more intentional about the products we use, the companies we partner with, the education we pursue, and the experience we create from the moment someone walks through our doors.
