If you have short hair, you may be wondering what would work best for styling! We asked our team to share their favs for short hair.

ALI

WHAT: More inside finishing gum as it isn’t too heavy but has enough hold that styling lasts. HOW TO USE: Rub it together in my hands to warm up and rub it around the head.

WHAT: More inside shine wax, minimal hold but great for fly aways and shine. HOW TO USE: Small amount in my palm and either apply where needed or flat palms all over

WHAT: Kerasilk Volumizing spray. Great for fine hair and doesn’t weigh it down at all. HOW TO USE: Spray at the root or all over

JESS

WHAT: Davines this is a medium hold pliable paste. I like that it comes out of a tube and it is easy to use and apply. It works great blow dried into hair or for touching up dry hair.
This is a dry texturizer for touching up dry styled hair.
This is a sea salt spray blow dried in at the roots for a firm hold and volume.

ARTIE

Sea salt spray on wet hair for added texture, and for even more volume afterwards, the dry texturizing spray from Davines!

TORI

Before blow drying…
Kerasilk volume foam and/or Taming Balm (depending on texture and if I want more volume on the client. With short hair that needs volume it’s more just at the top of crown.)

After blowdryer I like to use davines this is a medium hold finishing gum or kerasilk texture spray. (Depends on how much texture I would like. If a little then I would spray and if I want to make some piecey parts I use the gum.

My favourite short hair styling product is the “this is a medium hold finishing gum”
I like that it has a mat finish and it’s not too hard but still holds a moldable style. To use: warm up/emulsify the product in your hands, make the hair a mess but getting the product right to the root, then style as desired. Getting it right to the root helps with control and even distribution of the product!

We also recently brought in Eleven Australia, a new brand to us. We can’t wait to tell you about some of our new favs coming soon.
