Ok ok, yes I talk about this a lot. I hear you. Here’s the thing, do you hear me?
Are you tired? Feeling exhausted emotionally? Is your to do list piling up? How about upset about Christmas and Covid restrictions? All of the things we do every day require energy that has to come from somewhere. We are not a magical well of never ending energy. I hate to break it to you.

So I will say it again, are you making self care a priority?
Knowing what you need to thrive is as essential as gas in your car. It’s necessary for you to keep moving forward. No one is going to do it for you and it’s not likely people will force you to take care of yourself. YOU GOTTA DO IT! A little bit every day will make huge strides towards your overall well-being. I see you and I know you need to make this happen.
Some things I am doing for self care in this season:
  • Move Your Body. This may not look the same as in warm weather season but it is 1000% needed in this dark and wet season. Moving your body helps relieve pain, boost your mood and keeps you more balanced mentally. Do some research if you don’t believe me. Our brain is amazing and releases all kinds of natural chemicals to help us with all our ailments. READ THIS
  • Nutrition. Do a blood panel and find out if you are lacking in basic nutrition. Speak to a Naturopath to get medically guided nutritional suggestions. Most recently I have been working on increasing my Iron and regulating my protein intake to control my sugar levels. Dr. Cerf at New Leaf made easy suggestions and I have noticed a huge difference. • Do what feels good. If you like water, take a shower at a time you feel overwhelmed. If you love candles make sure to light one during a stressful part of your routine. Follow your natural spirit towards things that soothe your soul.
  • Declutter. Purge. Purge. Purge everything. Clean and clear spaces make life soooo much simpler.
  • Voice your needs. This sounds so basic but its essential. How many of us are afraid to say something because we don’t want to upset someone? Their needs are not more important than yours, we need to be able to hold both persons needs and find a way to meet both of them. We cannot do this if our needs are not identified and made known. The other person can not read your mind and just because they may “know you best” does not mean that they know what you need and its not personal.
That’s all for this week friends. Take care of yourself and enjoy your time as this year comes to a close. Much love to you, Chantel.
